Groups | First Presbyterian Church of Garner

We have several groups that meet once a month to socialize, study the Bible, and further the church’s mission work through projects. We have plenty of room for visitors and new members in all groups.

The Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle is a group of ladies that meets every second Sunday of the month right after morning worship. They sponsor projects such as the Chili Bowl luncheon, the Soup-er Bowl luncheon, and the Ladies of the Church Tea. Procedes from these events help to fund projects such as Garner Area Ministries, scholarships, and the mosquito netting project.

The Ida/Joy CircleThe Ida-Joy Circle meets every second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the New Beginnings classroom (near the choir room). They sponsor projects such as coffee sales from third world countries, 2¢ a meal, goody packages for college students, and the Easter lily sales.
The Lillie CircleThe Lillie Circle meets every third Sunday of the month at 7:00 pm. They sponsor projects such as the VIP luncheon, Samaritan’s Purse Shoeboxes, and the Kenya Orphanage.

Men of the ChurchThe Men of the Church is a group that strives to strengthen men’s descipleship in the church. We help with mission work, fellowship, Bible study, worship and many other activities. We have a men’s breakfast once a month that features a wide variety of guest speakers such NC State football coach Tom O’Brien. Our fund raising projects include events such as our annual Christmas tree sale and spring yard sale. We also have gatherings just for fun! Youth GroupOur Youth Group meets every Sunday at 5:00. We generally have a Bible lesson, play some games and eat snacks. However, we also have many projects and special events such as ASP, Garner Area Ministries, Movie Night, yardwork, lock-ins, midnight bowling, cookouts, and parties.
